Shanghai University of Engineering Science ( Shanghai University of Engineering Science ) is a full-time general higher education institution with multi-disciplinary interpenetration and coordinated development of engineering, economics, management, art, design, etc. It is the first batch of pilot universities for the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education , Leading unit for the construction of new engineering disciplines in local colleges and universities across the country, and a pilot construction unit for "High-level Local Applied Universities" in Shanghai. The school formerly founded in 1978 in Shanghai Jiaotong University Electrical and Mechanical Services Branch, Shanghai Institute of Chemical Technology Branch ( 1984 Nian incorporated into the Shanghai Jiaotong University Electrical and Mechanical Services Branch) and Shanghai Textile Institute Branch ( 1980 changed its name to East China Institute of Textile Branch). In 1985 , Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology was established on the basis of the above-mentioned institutions. In 2003 , Shanghai Advanced Technical School (founded in 1951 ) was incorporated into Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology as a whole. The school has campuses in Songjiang, Changning, and Hongkou, covering an area of ​​nearly 1,470 acres, with a total construction area of 710,000 square meters, total fixed assets of about 2.3 billion yuan, and teaching and research equipment about 800 million yuan.
