The building dates from 1930 and was the British Consulate before a 3-year makeover. In stark contrast, the energetic service team are mostly in their 20s and deliver thoughtful and efficient service that certainly appeals to a younger clientele. The food is a refined take on traditional Shanghainese, with river fish and live seafood being its strong suit, such as cod smoked with Qi Men black tea. The well-curated wine list complements the food nicely.
