Shanghai Public Security College

Shanghai Public Security College is the only public security institution in Shanghai that trains high-quality applied police personnel. It is also a national public security teacher, foreign police, technology informatization, cyber police, police psychology training base, experiment center and national public security training base established by the Ministry of Public Security. The micro-course research and development center and the Secretariat of the National Public Security Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee are also located in the college. The predecessor of the college was the Police School of the Public Security Bureau of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, which was founded in June 1949. It has gone through the development stages of the Shanghai Branch of the Central Public Security College, Shanghai Public Security School, Shanghai Public Security College, and Shanghai Public Security College. The college was officially inaugurated in June 2017, and Shanghai Public Security Higher Education opened a new chapter in its upgrading and development. Over the past 70 years since the establishment of the school, under the correct leadership and support of the Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Municipal Education Commission, the college has comprehensively promoted the development of public security education in Shanghai, and delivered more than 37,000 graduates to the public security political and legal system in Shanghai and even the whole country, and trained the police With more than 340,000 person-times, it is known as the "cradle of police and the melting pot of police officers" in Shanghai.
